Game Play: Basketball is a sports game. The requirements for this game is a basketball, basketball hoop, and a pair of sneakers. This sport can be played in the school gym or in a park where there is a basketball court.

Rules:  Two teams of five players each try to score by shooting a ball through a hoop elevated 10 feet above the ground. The game is played on a rectangular floor called the court, and there is a hoop at each end. The court is divided into two main sections by the mid-court line. If the offensive team puts the ball into play behind the mid-court line, it has ten seconds to get the ball over the mid-court line. If it doesn't, then the defense gets the ball. Once the offensive team gets the ball over the mid-court line, it can no longer have possession of the ball in the area in back of the line. If it does, the defense is awarded the ball. The rules are flexible depending on the number of players.

Objective: Players know that they have won the game by scoring more points than the other team.

Goals: In order for players to reach their goal in basketball, the players must get the ball in the basket without the other team blocking them.

Obstacles: The opposing team blocks the player or blocks the shot being made.

Physical Space: The basketball court has two hoops, one at the end of the right side of the court and one on the left side of the court. The hoops are used in order for the players to throw the ball inside the net.

Fun Factor: The players said that basketball was a 10. They also said that basketball was an awesome sport because it makes them feel good. As I was observing the players, I noticed how they did not give up when they didn't aim properly and when they did get it right, they looked very happy and proud. The players continued to run around the court and play the rest of the game.

Replay - ability: This is a game that players would want to play over and over again because they want to master some of the skills. Even if they loose, they continue to practice some of the skills over and over again.

Level of Stress: Some of the players seemed excited, while others did not feel the same way. Those who were excited play the sport very well due to their past experiences. The players who did not find the game as fun, either lacked energy or got upset that they could not play as well as the others.
