Game Play: The style of the game Durak is a card game. The requirements for this game are a deck of 36 cards that only contain the 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace. Any cards below six are supposed to be separated from the deck. Durak can be played on a table, desk, or any flat ground so the cards do not fall.

Durak (Card Game)

Rules: Each player must recieve six cards and cannot show the cards to anyone else, unless they are playing in teams, but that is if it's an advanced game. In every round, one of the players randomly pulls a card from the remaining deck and that card is the strongest card in that round, which is called a trump suit. (Example: 8 of hearts is the most powerful card in round 1, so anyone who has cards with the symbol of hearts, may use it to beat other cards. The person who has the lowest trump suit is the first attacker, usually the player with the 6 trump suit. In order to avoid cheating, each player must focus and push back the cards that do not belong on the table. The rules are flexible depending on  the number of players.

Objective: Players win the game when they run out of cards or beat all of the cards in their hands.

Goals: Players need to make sure that no one else looks at their cards and they should save thier strongest and most powerful cards until   the end of the game. Players should put down their lowest cards in the begining of the game because they are not as helpful in the end.

Obstacles: An obstacle would be to avoid cheating. Furthermore, some players might put down some cards that are not supposed to be on the table and it could mess up the person who has to beat the cards because that action causes that person to pick up more then 6 cards. When a player has more than six cards, it is much harder to win.

Physical Space: Similarly to the rules of this games, each player should only get 6 cards and the trump suit should be placed under the remaining deck of cards, but everyone who is playing should be able to see it in case they forget.  The remaining deck of cards should be placed either at the end of the table or in the middle of the table, as long as it is easy for all of the other players to pick up cards.

Fun Factor: The players have rated the game an 8. They said the game was fun and entertaining and worth playing. They liked the idea of having many winners and only one looser, since this game can only be played with a total of six people. As I was observing the players playing Durak, I noticed how everyone had smiles on their faces and were very estatic to play the game when they won or had the Ace trump suit.. The players all came to an agreement that this game was interactive and interesting at the same time. As the game was progressing, the players changed the rules to make it more unique.

Replay - ability: This game is something the players will want to play multiple times in a row becuase the competitiveness intrigues them to continue playing and become more determined to win. For every round that I observed, I noticed that the exact words came out of at least one the players. Those words were,"No, I want to play another round."

Level of Stress: The players are extremely excited to play this card game. There were times where the players were frustrated, but that feeling only occurred when they either lost or had to pick up a lot of cards. The frustration caused the players to become determined in winning the game.
